One man in a million

I would like to dedicate this next article to a man that I can proudly call a friend and a mentor. I probably learned more about fly fishing than I did in the 20 years before I met him.
I am talking about Jan Declerck. You can see him on the picture with his son Cedric. He is the owner of the Fariojan-flyfishing-shop.
When you enter his shop, the first thing he will always ask is “a cup of coffee?”, then what you need, why you need it, and what you already have. If you need something new, he will provide it, but if you don’t, he will explain in all kinds of ways how it is done with the stuff you already have!
This is a very rare breed of salesman in today’s world and one to cherish in every way you can! Most of the people who know him, often just drop by for some coffee and exchange stories. So by this way, I want to say, THANKS A LOT MATE!
You can find his site at www.fariojan.be or visit his web shop at
